Physical Education

Our Sandlings ethos “Sandlings is a unique, nurturing school where everyone belongs and thrives” can be seen throughout our PE curriculum and provision. We develop a sense of belonging through playing sport together and children thrive as they develop a range of sporting skills and physical fitness, so important for mental health (nurture).

The threshold concept which drives our PE curriculum is to Develop practical skills in order to participate, compete and lead a healthy lifestyle – learning a range of physical movements and sporting techniques. We develop this through 6 topics:Games, gymnastics, athletics, dance, outdoor and adventurous activity and swimming
